Job Benefits

Although working conditions vary noticably from one country to another, one can be certain that they will be treated with the utmost respect and gratitude, in their position as an ESL teacher abroad. Common working job benefits and working conditions include:

  • Contracts from four (4) months to two (2) years in length
  • Subsidized or paid accommodation
  • Return international travel expenses paid upon the completion of one (1) year contracts
  • Health insurance paid for or subsidized
  • Annual bonus equivalent to one (1) month salary given at the close of individual contracts
  • Monthly salary: volunteer stipend to $4500 USD/month - English teachers often earn three times the local salary
